Britto Style Pop Art
Fall 2020
Romero Britto is a Miami based artist originally from Brazil. He grew up in a large family with little money, and as a child would frequently create on newspaper and cardboard. He is the creator of the Happy Art Movement, and believes in spreading joy through his art because "Art is too important not to share." His art features bright colors and patterns covering every last inch, and tends to feature positive subject matter, as well as a few celebrities. At the moment, Romero Britto is the most licensed artist in the world, working with companies such as Coca-Cola, Mattel, Disney, Audi, and Bentley, to name a few.
Students in grades K-6 created their own Britto inspired artwork, featuring bright color, patterns, and, most importantly, joy, love, and positive messages.
